Just keep in mind that a commercial lingerie bra base might require a thicker center gore.\u00a0 If your center gore needs to be thicker, go with what you need for support and use surface You might already have a strapless in your collection that you can repurpose.\u00a0 Put out a call to your friends in dance and your local community to see if you can source a pre-loved bra to save some cash.\u00a0 These three examples are for illustrative purposes, but if you choose to use one of my Amazon links, thank you!<\/p>\n<h3>But how do you sew a Dina Bra?<\/h3>\n<p>I tend to use a hand-sewing technique with a heavy-duty needle, a metal thimble, and a pair of pliers.\u00a0 It&#8217;s helpful to have a clamp to hold the bra in place while I work with both hands.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>If I have a bra with no embellishments at the outer edges, I will use my sewing machine.\u00a0 This is my preferred method, but one that is out of reach for this particular project.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\"><\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\"><\/p>\n<p><strong>Thimble Tip:<\/strong> Over the years, I&#8217;ve experimented with many thimbles.\u00a0 The one I prefer to use when working with heavyweight buckram is a metal thimble with a lip at the top.\u00a0 This is my current favorite from <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3NrsGUx\">Dritz<\/a>.
