Join noted textile historian and costume designer Dawn Devine aka Davina for a presentation all about Assiut.\u00a0 No matter how you spell it, assiut, assuit, azute, or azyte, join us for this deep-dive into the history and manufacture of this magical cloth.\u00a0 After more than 20 years of research, Davina published her seminal book, “The Cloth of Egypt: All About Assiut,” and in this presentation, she will be tracing the timeline of the history of this cloth using rare historic images, contemporary quotes, and archival documentation.<\/p>\n
