When I finally got my hands on it, I could instantly see why folks sometimes compared our books. We both followed the typical style of a costuming DIY sewing or costume-making book, just with a belly dance spin. So in July and August, I&#8217;m presenting the &#8220;Gold Book&#8221; in a chatty flip-through with my commentary about the content.\u00a0 This book is over 200 pages, so I split the flip-through into two separate parts. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.patreon.com\/posts\/gold-book-1-fast-87495554?utm_medium=clipboard_copy&amp;utm_source=copyLink&amp;utm_campaign=postshare_creator&amp;utm_content=join_link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The first half discussion is already available on Patreon.<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Costuming From The Hip: 30th Anniversary Rewrite<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The &#8220;Gold Book&#8221; is definitely having some impact on how I design and layout the next edition of &#8220;Costuming From The Hip.&#8221;\u00a0 I really love that Zarifa included a little bit of costume history at the start of her book.\u00a0 This is a feature that I&#8217;m including in my rewrite. So the next edition of CFTH will include and illustrated time-line of belly dance stage costuming.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">I also am inspired to include an appendix that includes the current price listings and supplies.
