Bibliography - Middle Eastern Arts, Culture and History

An excellent source of inspiration for costume design are the arts and crafts from the around the Middle East. This list of books includes works that discuss cultural production throughout Africa, the Middle East, Central Asia and India. Many of these works are exhibition catalogs that include a great deal of luscious imagery. Unfortunately, art books are frequently expensive and go out of print quickly.
